Oldroyd Family Life and Times of an Oldroyd

I met the enemy of the treadmill and won. It has been a long time since I have been able to run due to my ankle. I hurt it while rip-sticking back on Valentines day and it hasn’t been the same ever since. It still bothers me, and occasionally people mention that I have a bit of a limp. I hate it, but it is what it is.

I tried running on a treadmill a while back and it was more of a walk-jog than anything and my ankle really wasn’t too happy with me afterward. Since that time I have been relegated to the elliptical machines which aren’t nearly as good of a workout.

I took the chance today and it felt pretty good. I ran for 20 minutes and went nearly 2.5 miles. I will see how things feel later today.

Love the hot sauce at the Wingcoop. I haven’t tried their “11” sauce, but their “Black Diamond” sauce is great and not too hot. It does cause a bit of a sweat, but it isn’t too bad.

Mondays and Thursdays feature $0.50 wings. At that price I can go for it. The regular price is nearly twice as much.

I can’t believe we are in the middle of a late May snowstorm. Not a flake or two but a true storm.
