Tanner had a great game. 11 tackles, some of them solo – and a couple for a loss. Well done Tanner. I have had fun taking pictures and watching you play.

Last Game of the Season

Tanner’s 2011 Season Opener
Well, the game didn’t go as scripted. Tanner is still probably at only 60-70% and so he only was in for a few plays. To top it off they lost in a big way to Highland High. Regardless, it was fun to get back into football. It has been a while.

Football Scrimmage
Tanner and West Jordan High had a scrimmage today. Tanner is on the Sophomore team and they scrimmaged against the JV team. Overall Tanner did fine and caught a couple of passes.
The season is coming soon and everyone is excited. I got roped in to be one of the video people. This means that I have to take the wide-angle view for every game and get 2 copies of the DVD each week to the coaches. I don’t mind helping, but in a way it will be a pain.
Here are a few pictures from the outing.
- Concentration
- Crack Kills
- Handsome dude
- I got my eye on you
- Calling all drama queens

Misc Ramblings on the Day
It was an interesting day. It started off with Lexi and I needing to get our blood tested. Of course it couldn’t be as simple as going to one lab and getting it done, we each had to go to a different place. We did make it through in record time. The picture here of Lexi in the chair just before they came to suck her blood.
The next picture is of Kiki watching the performance. Lexi, Kiki, Abbi, Dad, and I went to see the closing night of Murray City’s Cinderella. Cassidy played the step-sister “joy”. I am very proud of her achievements. She did a fabulous job and really made the part hers. During the play she sprained her ankle because she slipped on a wet spot (it was raining). She popped right back up and danced with the prince without missing a beat. She is in pain now, but for the show she just kept it going full speed.
The last picture is of Tanner’s back. He was running a slant in practice tonight. The quarterback under-threw him and so Tanner had to twist around backwards to make the catch (which he did). The only problem is that it left him totally exposed and he got drilled in the back by one of the varsity players. It is a pretty decent bruise. It is going to hurt for a while.
Dad bought a new 2010 Toyota Prius today and so we all went with him to the play. The car is pretty impressive. The hybrid cars are amazing. They have so many gadgets and displays that it is a wonder you are able to drive at all. The good thing is 50+ MPG. Dad seems to be pretty happy with it. He ordered leather seats and so he is waiting for them to come in. In the meantime the cloth seats are still pretty sweet. I really like the car overall. It is “Barcelona Red” and looks very sharp.
That’s enough ramblings for now. It’s almost midnight and I have Physical Therapy for my ankle tomorrow at 6:30. I can’t wait…
