Kiki was part of the roadshow. She was the only one that remembered to bow at the end. She did great. The roadshows are going LONG, but she is having fun. She will probably be a pill tomorrow, but she is loving it tonight.

State of the art entertainment
Our 5 plus hour flight had a brilliant digital entertainment system that worked maybe 20% of the time. Just enough to keep you somewhat hooked.
I tried to sleep but had a tough time. I had a aisle seat, but the legroom was the worst I have had in a long while. The sleep I did get wasn’t all that great.
The couple sitting next to me are connecting through SLC to Hawaii. I am jealous. Kris and I would love to go there someday. I really hope to be able to take her. She deserves it.
I guess our flight isn’t really over yet. We are on the ground, but we are just sitting here waiting for outbound planes to get de-iced. Our gate is clear but we can’t get around the other planes.
All in all a decent trip, but I will be glad to see Kris and the kids. I love them lots.

- Made it groggily to the plane. Rumors abound about Novell being acquired by SAP. Interesting, but for now I’ll just sleep. #
- 25 minutes so far on the tarmac, now the pilot comes on and says we have to be towed to the gate. Fun Fun Fun #

Headhunters
Suddenly, I’m getting tons of calls from head hunters. I don’t know what is driving them, but I’m getting a number of hits both locally and nationally. I have been a little more active on linkedin, twitter, and such but I really haven’t done much to promote myself. I even had someone googling and found my orapower website which is kinda cool.
I don’t think I’m quite ready to hang up my cleats at Novell. I’m enjoying my new role as the Enterprise Architect. It is quite interesting to develop this position and start feeling out how to best help Novell. I need to give this a try for a while. It is a good opportunity for me to expand and grow without having to change jobs. I doubt I’ll be at Novell in 5 years, but for now things are exciting, fun, and challenging. I like it.
Tired – wanna go home
Ok – I’m officially tired of being in Boston. I’m ready to come home. My body is quite screwed up in terms of timezones and such. I probably should be asleep, but The Utes are playing New Mexico in the opening round of the MWC tournament. It started at 11:30 pm local time. If that wasn’t bad enough, they are now in overtime. AND my plane leaves at 6:45am. I might get about an hour of sleep if I’m lucky. Hopefully I can completely crash on the plane and wake up as the plane starts its descent into SLC. It isn’t all that likely, but one can always dream.
The trip here has been good. I was able to get some good time in with Anne and Maulesh and transitioned several items to them. It will be nice to be freed up somewhat to actually work on Architectural concerns.
I was speaking with Edgar Romero and apparently I’m going to be paying a visit to Toronto to visit my colleagues at platespin sometime in April. I have never been to Canada, so that could be a fun trip. We’ll have to see how things go, but that seems to be the prevailing notion…

Absolutely Asia
I think I may have eaten here before, but I know I didn’t have the Sushi. This yellowtail is pretty tasty, especially with the wasabi.

I just thought that this was a cool church and deserved a photo from my phone. Not a great picture, but it isn’t bad.
I took this last year, but just now joined the 21st century and got a flickr account. Now I can post my few photos.

- Lexi got a superior rating at her piano federation exercise. That is two years in a row. She did great. #
- Just got bumped from my Boston flight. I get a three hour wait for the next flight and pocketed $400. Not too bad – I’ll take a nap. #
- Stupid daylight-savings is going to punish me in every way. Maybe the nap isn’t such a bad thing. #
- Gotta love ‘maintenance issues’ – this flight may be delayed. #
- Mechanical issues resolved – now, too much fuel and a changing flight window. I really hope that I don’t miss my Baltimore connection. #
- Just landed in Baltimore. Quite a rough flight. #
- Ok – on the canadair regional jet getting ready to leave. Got a window seat – good thing it is a short flight. I’m too tall. #
- On the ground in Boston – now we sit and wait for the gate; then its on to the rental car… #
