Movietime at the Oldroyd house
The kids have been excited to make another movie for some time. We just never seem to have the time to put together the scenes, shoot them, and create the actual movie. Today we did because we didn’t head over to Mom’s house for Sunday dinner. This is the first time in a LONG time that we didn’t go over. It wasn’t that we were uninvited (we probably should be uninvited at times, but I digress…), but rather that Mom and Dad spent the weekend in St. George and didn’t want to try to stress and figure out a way to get home just for family dinner. I can’t blame them at all.
After church, Kris and I had choir practice to go to and once we got back, Kris worked on dinner and the kids and I worked on the movie. I decided to let them have total creative license on this one. I just wanted to be the camera man and let them figure out the story, setting, and scenes. They invited Paige over from next door and away they went – designing their masterpiece. While they worked on the script and story, Kiki and Lexi beat me up on chutes and ladders. It was a good time.
The kids did a great job and we shot and produced the movie in record time. I think the kids are happy with it.
All in all a good Sunday.
Feel the burn
The first weekend of Superleague baseball earned Kris a good base-o-burn. Ouch. Pain.

- Hmmm – not sure of my mood – not quite all there – not quite not. Well, we’ll see how the weekend goes. #
- Another crazy Saturday. 3 baseball games, 4 scrapbook classes, 1 dress rehersal, and then normal the normal chores. Ah… Fun, fun, fun. #

Whack it!
Today was Parker’s first day of coach-pitch baseball. It still is a little frustrating. They didn’t count outs and pretty much continued on where tball left off, but hopefully they’ll get into it a bit more as the season goes on.
Parker is the youngest one on his team and certainly has room for improvement, but he is having a good time and is slowly “getting it”. He is on a team with a number of kids from the neighborhood and that always helps things out.
He is a great kid and a lot of fun to be with. I hope that he has a great season this year. We need to work on both hitting and catching, but for someone his age he is doing just fine.
While I was at Parker’s game with Abigail, Kiki, and Lexi – Kris was up at Tanner’s games with Cassidy. Saturdays are always interesting with so many activities and such. Tanner had two games, Parker had one, Cassidy and I had a dress rehersal, Tanner was to babysit some neighbor kids, Cassidy was to babysit as well, and Kris had four scrapbook classes. We didn’t get to everything, but got the kids where they needed to be and everything and everyone seemed to have a decent day. Our Sunday’s aren’t “restful” but at least we don’t have quite so many activities.
Tanner went 2-4 in his two games. He struck out twice and singled and doubled off the wall. He was pretty happy with the way he played. I wish that I could have been there to see it, but we all can’t be everywhere.
Improper swinging position
This probably wasn’t the intended use for this.
