Ahhh a buffet. How fun it is. Parker puked 3 times. Freshly chewed mac-n-cheese and pizza. We tipped our waitress well…

Actual work email

I received this email today – deserves a good chuckle. It is funny from both a grammatical perspective as well as from the incident itself.

Subject: KITCHEN FRIDGE/FREEZER

Everyone:

We had an issue with the kitchen fridge on the 4th floor this morning. The freezer section of the fridge is so full that someones lunch somehow ended up in the ice crusher and when ice was dispensed, pieces of frozen food and card board was also dispensed through the ice maker shoot.

Please take a moment and clean out any old food either in the fridge or in the freezer section. If the freezer is to full, please do not add anything additional to it until it is cleaned out.

Thanks

Weekend Update

Filed under: Uncategorized — dto @ 9:46 pm

Lets see…

  • Baseball (Parker played his – Tanner missed his in Park City)
  • Extras for Highschool Musical III – Kris, Cass, Tann – 24 hours of hurry up and wait
  • Sprinkler parts – Survived with only one trip to home depot
  • Grocery shopping at Walmart – ‘nough said.
  • Stake Conference (missed the adult session – went with the young ones to the morning session
  • Hiking in Big Cottonwood Canyon
  • Hanging out with Mom, Dad, Holly, Jon, and Mare – bonus! BBQ!
  • Laundry, Laundry, Laundry
  • Ironing
  • Cancelled 10g upgrade at work due to “technical issues” – luckily I didn’t have much to do with it and very little troubleshooting.

That’s about all I can come up with at this particular moment. I am probably missing two or three items that I just can’t remember. It has been a hectic weekend and I’m not really all that prepared for next week. I wish that Kris was here to help go over the plans for next week, but she still has several hours of “extra” time on the set so I probably wont see her tonight and then whamo, bamo we are back at it.

Stake conference was nice. President Barlow spoke about adversity. He gave a very nice message that seemed to hit home with me. President Baker spoke on prayer. It seems like the topics were custom made for us. I certainly have benefited from the messages that I heard in between trying to keep kids quiet. As a family we need to move onward and upward and I personally have a lot to be desired in the prayer department. I need to do more.

Well, I may not be prepared for the week, but too little sleep isn’t the answer either. I guess I will try to at least get a good start to the day with some decent sleep.
