Off Cassidy goes to Weber State. There were plenty of hugs and tears, but we are excited for her adventure.

B-Day post card
Holly sent me a nice birthday postcard from Nusfiord. She was spending time above the arctic circle. She has been able to do a lot of neat things. I miss her, but I’m glad that she is getting to do some amazing things.
While snail mail is a bit antiquated it is still really a thrill to get a postcard or letter from somebody. It is classy.
Love you Holly!

Sad Day
We had a great time at Jon / Mare’s ranch over the weekend. Today is mom’s birthday. It is a sad day. She left us just over two years ago and in some ways it feels like an eternity. In other ways the sting is still fresh and new. I know that my dad is really hurting today too.
Mom, I miss you. You were and are a great influence in my life. I only wish that I could be more like you. At my best I don’t even come close to the person you were every day.
I love and miss you.

Hike to Donut Falls
Here are a few snaps from our somewhat annual trip to Donut Falls. Not as much water as there usually is. We still had a great time. The weather wasn’t too hot either.

Morning Hike to Grandeur Peak
I sorta trail-ran/lumbered up the mountain from church fork. It took me about 1:15 to climb up and about 40 min on the descent. I did it in my Vibram 5 fingers. It was good, but I bruised up my feet somewhat. All in all a good hike.

The end of spring football camp and they had a short scrimmage. Tanner got in and had a few nice plays. After the game we had a family spaghetti dinner.

Cassidy Graduated!
Cassidy walked through her graduation ceremony from American Heritage Academy tonight. I’m so happy for her and proud of her. Kris cried through the whole thing so it must have been good. Anyway, it is really hard to believe that our little Cassy is now out of high school and on to bigger and better things. Love that girl.
