We did lose Parker today. He left the house at about 10:30 to go play with a friend. He didn’t come home for lunch as he usually would and so Kris started looking around for him and checking with his friends. About an hour later we had most of the neighborhood looking for Parker and his bike. I came home from work and scoured the neighborhood on bike as well.
Kris had called the hospitals and the police. We had two officers out, searching our house and the neighborhood. Kris and the the kids had knocked on all the doors of Parker’s friends and all but a couple were home but had not seen Parker. Kiki went up to one house and asked if Parker was there and the guy in the garage said no…
Well, it turned out that Parker was at their house AND that his bike was in the garage. For some reason the person either lied to Kiki or Kiki heard his comments incorrectly. Anyway – after 4 hours of looking for him, Parker rides home as if nothing is wrong.
We are glad to have him back home, but frustrated in the lack of ability to communicate – not just in regards to Parker, but the same goes with all our kids.
I ran back to the office but didn’t need to. My meeting with the CFO was cancelled again. I was a bit ticked because of having to drive back and forth to work, but all is well.
Life is good.
