Resting peacefully.
Good Tanner.
The surgery went well except that they had to intubate him because he wasn’t breathing well. Hopefully recovery is swift. He has a new boot which will hopefully not cause the pressure ulcer like the other one.
Hopefully we wont ever have to go to the Kmart hospital again. It was a little creepy and somewhat odd, but if everything ends well we will be happy.

Trampoline Accident
First trampoline accident of the year. Parker fell and hit his head on the pole. Poor kid he has a large goose-egg (picture is poor) but he is doing fine.
Just a sign that summer is coming soon.

Day two without Kris
Well – we survived another day of Kris-less-ness. I guess it isn’t fully over yet. Tanner is still out with friends and at some point I’ll have to go pick him up.
We cleaned a few things, took care of the yard, and kept the washer/dryer running all day. Everything went pretty well. No real serious meltdowns and everyone but Kiki were able to get their rooms cleaned up.
This weekend is stake conference so I left the kids in Tanner / Lexi’s hands and went to the adult session. It was a good session, but it is always weird to go alone.
After conference I came home and made sure that the kids were actually in their rooms. Amazingly things were going pretty smoothly – hopefully the lack of sleep is catching up and they are going to sleep well tonight.
I was hungry and didn’t want Totino’s pizza leftovers from the kids so I made some things that Kris would not approve of. I made a nice curry over rice and then some garlic hummus. It was really good. Hopefully I wont regret it in the morning.
Lucky for me the day is pretty much over – it is time for some shut-eye. Kris and Cassy should get home some time tomorrow. It depends on if they make a stop at CEU and the Price cemetery. Hope they are having fun. Life is good and when we are all together it’s better.

- 20 hours after it began my 'vacation' day is finally in the books. Finally time to sleep. #
- And a short 6 hours later the kids are back at it. Don't they know that sleep is good? #

Kris and Cassidy in Helper UT
Kris and Cassy are in Helper for a YTU production. Helper is a small town where time has stood still since 1950. The theater troupe are mini-celebrities in the town. The town has put them up in a “hotel” which in a former life was a brothel.
I hope they have fun. Being the mom is not as easy as it may seem. We made it through the day without really any tears, but we are all pooped. Parker said it best “I miss mommy.”
One photo is of a card I saw. Another is the actual brothel bathroom in their hotel. The other one is a quilt that someone made showing all of the major organ systems. I guess you get an educational good night’s sleep.
Fun, fun, fun!
Kiki Birthday
A great day for Kiki – a horrible food day for everyone. Donuts and sausage for breakfast, McDonalds for lunch, and Pizza Pie Buffet for dinner. Somehow my 4 mile run just doesn’t make up for it.
No matter. Kiki had a ton of fun and loves her presents. Hopefully she and the rest of the kids will sleep well tonight.
