Medical testing remnants

‘Uta’ finally showed up and we went through the hoops to get me tested. The blood test wasn’t too bad ad her scale was good to me to the tune of almost 4 lbs. I will definitely take it. She also gave me an inch more on my height – not too bad. Heart rate was good as was the blood pressure.
Other than the timing foulup it was a successful procedure.

Waiting for “Port-o-Medic”

Filed under: family — dto @ 11:06 am

With the job change we are going to go get some life insurance from a third party company. To get the insurance they send out an intern-type to take a brief medical history, draw some blood, record my blood pressure and weight, and obtain a urine sample.  I can’t wait!

Actually they were supposed to be here five minutes ago. I’m supposed to be watching a software presentation from black duck. I’m not going to dial in – only to drop off as soon as “Uta” shows up.

It is going to be fun, fun, fun!!!

  • Lamenting the temp. Change. 81 today 50 tomorrow – and snow! What is going on? #
  • Today is the big day for the announcement. Nervous, trepidatious, anxious, excited, and a host of other emotions running amok. #
  • Went to announce, but was dragged to a partner deal registration meeting. #
  • Taking way too many notes. My hands hurt. My penmanship is horrible. #
  • Well, it is official. I have resigned from Novell. I sure hope it was the right decision. #

Wow! Over fifty bucks for gas!

It is amazing how pricey gas has become. More than fifty bucks to fill up the little Lexus. I don’t even want to think about the Excursion.

Can’t I just walk everywhere?

A long day at work

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:12 pm

Today started off early at 4:30 am. I was woken up by the ‘firefight’ line at Novell to fix a BPEL process. I should have told them to jump in the lake and tgo bug someone else (Nathan or Maulesh), but I took the call and worked things out just in time to hop in the shower and head out to work.

All day long it was one meeting / problem after another. Fixed a couple of production problems and generally tried to be helpful. It just felt really long; and I am tired.

I will tell Adolfo my decision tomorrow. I am very interested to see how it will all be handled.

Should be fun!

Finally – clean

Well, it finally happened and the room finally is clean. It was even vacuumed by Lexi; just in time to go to bed (nearly).

Oh well, onto bigger and better things.
