I spent the morning touring the sites of Palmyra. I spent considerable time in the Sacred Grove. I have never been in a place like it before. It truly is spiritual and sacred. The weather changed several times while I was there. It went sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy – repeat. I loved the time I spent in there I felt so close to my Heavenly Father and to nature. It is an amazing place. The sights, sounds, and even smells are things I have never experienced before. It was truly a marvelous experience – one that I will treasure forever. I could have wandered around even longer than the two hours I spent there, but the time had to end.
I also saw the Martin Harris farm, the Hill Cumorah, and the Alvin Smith burial cemetery. They were interesting to see, but definitely had less impact upon me than the sacred grove.
