WJ beat Copper Hills 32-12. Tanner worked really hard and had a good game against his arch-nemesis Copper Hills. This makes two wins in a row. It was homecoming and they put on quite a show with lots of free food, flaming letters, and fireworks. The bishop came to the game to cheer on Tanner. It was very nice of him to come.

Parker Pinewood Derby
Parker’s “Mutant Shark” took third place in the pinewood derby. He worked hard on his car and it got lots of compliments. Well done Parker.
We raced it against one of Tanner’s old cars and it beat Tanner’s handily.
Parker even got a trophy. He is on cloud nine.

Brigham City Temple Dedication
I went with Lexi and Tanner to the second dedication session for the Brigham City Temple. We went to the stake center and it was very quiet and peaceful. It “felt” like a temple. I was touched by the words spoken – particularly about the temple being a beacon to the valley – a place to anchor ourselves in. I also enjoyed hearing the story of a man walking 27 miles to work on the Logan temple many years ago and the stories of youths performing the walk in reverse, going from Logan to Brigham City.
The spirit was strong and peaceful. The kids mentioned that they enjoyed it as well. I’m glad that we had the opportunity to participate in the dedication.
