Oldroyd Family Life and Times of an Oldroyd

What an end to our first night. I was so tired I could hardly stand upright. I slept through some welcome aboard show that was pretty chock full of energy and excitement. Kris told me to go to bed, but the people responsible for our rooms had not finished getting them ready and kept coming in and out of the room. Parker decided to get out of kids club and wanted to go up to the pool and watch the movie while swimming. I went up with him and tried to stay warm.
Somehow I got him out of the pool around 11:00 and we got back to the cabin and I crashed. I don’t ever remember being quite so tired.

Now it is 8:99am and we are ready for the next day of fun and excitement.

While it wasn’t perfect we had a good afternoon. We watched the movie Frankenweenie and then took the kids swimming. They tested out the underwater camera action and it seemed to work pretty well. Dinner was weird. It was the formal night and so we got all decked out in tux / formats and went to dinner. The food was decent, but the pacing was really off. The kids had fully eaten before we finished our salads. Dinner was a full two hours and by the end, all the kids were off and gone.
We went to see the golden Mickey awards and Kiki and Abbi loved them. We wanted the kids to get to bed early and they have mostly obliged. Kris and I were going to see the ventriloquist but she tired out and so dad and I are here. Hopefully he isn’t too crude.

After a crummy character breakfast we herded the kids off to the kid’s club and Kris went up to get some sun. I went to the gym and did the bike hard for 30 and the elliptical for 20. It was pretty cool to have the gym overlook the bow of the boat. After the workout I slipped into a comfy robe and enjoyed the sauna and lounging in a quiet room. After a shave and shower I am much better prepared for the afternoon.
I’m with Parker on the pool level. He is swimming and I am having a spot to eat. The music isn’t too loud and the breeze feels nice. This is pretty relaxing.
I suppose that it is somewhat ironic that I am listening to the hunger games surrounded by more food than I could ever possibly eat.
Oh well, it is vacation and I am really liking it.
